Good morning everyone. It's cold, dark and rainy here today, and not a great day for photos. But I took a quick snap of this new necklace that I've been wearing for the last 24 hours, and I'd love your opinions. It's the tiny one, with the tiny toggle. Originally I just made it to test the security of the clasp, and make sure it wouldn't fall off. But now I am kind of in love with it on its own. I know it's a little hard to see with my Collette Necklace, it would be better if they were different lengths, maybe the Collette an inch longer. . . But is it too tiny to be anything? Or pretty and subtle? What do you think?

My husband has been building himself a beautiful studio space. He's waiting until it is finished to do a big reveal, so I won't tag him here. But amazingly the new floor went in yesterday, just in time for today's pottery photo shoot with @robcartelli. What a luxury to have such a bright empty space to shoot in! It kind of makes me want to give away most of our belongings/clutter. Why is there always so much stuff?! Well, tomorrow is A new day. Maybe it will be the day I start throwing things away.

It was fun photo shoot day here today! And we got some great shots, even though I had to borrow a friends camera body, due to yesterday being sad broken camera day. I got to spend the day with @robcartelli and @qcart and their little dude Davis taking pictures of four crates of Rob's beautiful pottery. Mostly I took the pictures, but for a couple I got to be on the other side of the camera. Thumbs up for local artist community, and doing things together!

My camera broke today, and I am so sad! I had to swaddle it all in bubble wrap and bundle it off to Canon to be hopefully repaired sometime in the next 10 days. I feel a little lost without it. I use that camera every day, sometimes for way longer than I should for productivity's sake. It will be a very interesting week or so in the studio without it. It's very possible that lots more jewelry than usual will be made. Which could turn out to be a good thing I guess. . . But 😥 sniff! Godspeed little camera friend. I hope you get back to me soon.

Friday mornings I usually spend with my littlest, who is all of a sudden all about making art. He'll try his little hand at anything, and so I find myself doing the same. I've always felt extremely awkward painting. Things never come out the way I want them to. But now I find that when I paint with a two year old it's a lot easier to let go of all of those expectations and just enjoy the color. Ok. Now back to the metal for the afternoon!

I threw this Holly Necklace on today to take a quick photo to send to a friend who is looking for a gift for his wife.
