It's an exciting day here, I'm starting to move into the workshop room of my new studio! This alcove desk will be where the jewelry gets its final assembly once all of the soldering and hammering of each component is finished. I figured I'd better take some pictures quick because once I start actually working in here it will never be this neat again. 🔨🔥🌪 #homeinthestudio #creativespace #inmystudio

A process shot of the steps I follow when making my Black Forest Rings. The top left shows the three component pieces, the top right shows them after they've been soldered, but before polishing and hammering, and the bottom is the finished product. I just shipped out a bunch of these, along with other mountain themed pieces, to @madejacksonhole in Jackson Hole, WY, in case you are in the area!

Ok instaverse, I have another plant question for you please :) 🌱 I just pulled this broken leaf out of the bottom of my succulent pot and it has this little baby attached. What is the right way to pot this little cutie? Specifically, what part goes in the dirt, and what part stays above? And do I keep the two pieces attached to each other? Thanks much! P.s. It's 10 degrees and snowing here today, so I'm going to keep my head down and play with green things indoors.

Good morning Friday, you beautiful day! I'm doing some serious #californiadreaming in the studio today. Shipping orders of jewelry to beautiful places around the country always makes me a little wistful! Here are a couple of the delicate layering pieces that shipped off to @coop28handmade in LA this week, bringing on this current spell of wanderlust.

A Peaks Necklace in 14k gf I'm working on in the studio today. Most of the pendant is finished, but if you look closely you can see that the top of the circle still needs to be soldered closed to keep the chain attached. The pendant will then be hammered to finish the piece. #processoverproduct #workflow #homeinthestudio

Hi! It's been a while since I showed my face around here, because I find selfies to be ugh. But this is me, the person behind all of the jewels I generally post here. Here I am in a corner of the construction site of my future studio, which is just one of the many balls that are in the air over here at Rebecca Haas Jewelry. There's something about the way this pic turned out that I like, so I though it was a good chance to say hey to you all. I snapped it today trying to capture my new kicks, but kind of missed. See? Selfies are hard. But this is me in a typical studio-day get up, which is a mishmosh of comfy clothes. One of the big benefits of working for yourself, by yourself, is you can wear your pjs if you want. But I generally don't. Pj's at 9am is great, but something about still being in your pjs at 6pm when you open a bottle of wine just feels wrong. Am I right? Ok, I'll stop rambling now, and thanks and hi again to those of you who made it all the way to the end! 🤗
