One of the things I love most about jewelry design is creating new mechanisms. I must have some kind of (well)hidden engineer gene. Since jewelry has to be functional as well as beautiful there can be interesting challenges to make something that both looks and works the way you want it to. That's why I am so excited about these new earrings. See how the ear wire is attached at the top creating a sort of secure hinge, allowing for both security and great movement.
