Happy Black Friday all. Are you all off doing lots of shopping today? I am lying flat on my back, at least as much as I can with 2 kids on school vacation, since I threw my back out day before yesterday. Such a drag! The last hour or two of a show is always fairly quiet. Artists spend that time chatting with each other, or making trades or purchases, and sometimes, like yesterday, designing new work. Another favorite design of mine that I think should be a contender for somebody for the giveaway is the Collette Necklace. This piece is super popular at shows where people can try it on because it just looks so nice on everyone. It's so understated though that it's hard to capture it with a photo. In this pic there are three necklaces layered together, one in each of the available metal options. Working away here in my studio on this sort of sleepy Friday afternoon. Friday's are always have a slightly different pace around here because the baby is home on Fridays. He takes a very long nap in the middle of the day and so during that time I can't do any hammering. Productivity level down, cuteness level up.
