This is the Collette Necklace in 14k gold. I first made this necklace to wear when I got married, about 7.5 years ago, and I've worn it every day and night since. I sleep in it, i shower in it (the beauty of 14k) and when I want to get a little more dressed up I just add another layer or two. It's my fave.
So in love with my new @cortneyheimerl flag 💛 I ordered it with my new studio in mind, but for now it's doing an excellent job making me still want to go to work in my current studio. My little paper cut specimens from @hellolaurajane also adding extra happy. #communityovercompetition #liveauthentic #livehandmade #handmadeisbetter

People often ask me how I make my jewelry. Well, this is where it all begins: wire. This is two coils if the size wire I use the most, one in 14k gold fill, and one in sterling silver. But I use lots of different thicknesses to make all of my designs. I make all of my shapes and links out of the wire, then solder them closed, clean them up, and then hammer them flat, and then clean them up again. #proccess #howitsmade #behindthescenes #studioscenes

The new Plunge Earrings are now listed online! These babies are big, 2+ inches in diameter. But they are surprisingly easy to wear and comfortable because they are light. I am not a big earring person in general, and I ended up wearing them all day yesterday and feeling pretty fabulous. #statementearrings #jewelrydesign #handmade

It is bright and sunny here today, and going to be almost 40 degrees. It is making me have little daydreams of summer, when I can get out of the shower and just throw on one layer and walk outside barefoot into the soft green grass. Maybe even with the smell of lilacs in the air. Sigh. Well, at least we are way better of than we were last year, when we had something like 60 straight days in the twenties or below. That was harsh. 40 and sunny I can take. Now to just make sure I get outside at some point. . . {Perfect Post Studs in 14k}

This Stamen Ring will ship out to its new home tomorrow. In the mean time though I'm using it for some low light photography practice. Some people are so amazing at this, like @lucysnowephotography for example. If you haven't seen her beautiful feed it is worth a visit. I love how moody and wintery these type of photos can feel.

These new Oval Bangles were just listed online, both retail and wholesale. I originally made these as a custom order for a customer. But I love how they came out, and I'm hoping others will too! Also, it turns out that oval bangles are a little more comfortable than round ones. A little less clangy on stuff as you go through your day. . .

Another look at the two new mountain necklaces together. The Sierra (top) and the Peaks (bottom). Both in sterling silver with 14k gold fill mountains. Each one of these pendants are build by hand from sterling silver and 14k gold fill recycled metal wire and soldered into place. #handmadeisbetter #ethicalfashion #maker #recycledmetal

I took myself off to a yoga class today for the first time in, oh, six months or so. It was a true small town experience in the back room of a local inn, which is still decorated for the Newhart era (what was with hunter green and maroon in the 80's?) The class was full of local business owners and retirees, which was just my speed. All that aside though, the concept of gratitude came up for me for the second time in two days. (First from @risingtidesociety) What a wonderful idea that gratitude, over success, or wealth, or achievement, is what truly makes you feel happy and fulfilled. It feels right to me, but I'm going to ponder further. But in that vein, this feels like a great time to say THANK YOU to all of you out there on the other end of this phone who take an interest in my work and my jewelry. You are all wonderful, and very much appreciated! 💕

This sterling silver Ovum Ring. Another piece that went out this past week, as well as more fodder for practice with my new lens. I think I could happily spend a whole day taking jewelry pictures. If only there were more days in a work week I think I would do just that. I am glad though that my one main craft has spawned a real need to learn this other craft. #macro #jewelryphotography #canon

The finished piece! The new Sierra Necklace is now finished, photographed, and listed (link in profile). Now that winter has finally arrived in #vermont all of the bare trees make for much longer and mountainous vistas. And everyone is talking about skiing and snow sports. Not that I have actually done any of those things myself of course. But it's out there for inspiration 😉This is my first new listing since the holidays, and it really feels good to put some new work out there! Much more to follow in the coming weeks. . . #makersgonnamake #new #mountains

Winter is here finally. So that happened. It is like a skating rink out there after yesterday's rain. I almost wiped out taking this picture! Having major trouble adjusting to getting back into work rhythm after such a long and luxurious break. I think a good studio cleanup is definitely required! It still looks a little like a Christmas bomb went off in there. Now who is going to do it for me? #procrastination #mondaze
