Enjoying a much needed quiet rainy morning here in Vermont. Nowhere to rush off to and sleeping babies means I got a chance to edit the photos for this new listing. It is called the Stream Necklace, and it's another design that I have been making and selling for years now but just realized it was listed nowhere online. Oops! Situation rectified. π

New tiny layering necklaces in 14k and sterling silver, headed for the Sunapee fair in about a week. Shows are your best place to find something special and unique that only you will have. It's my place to play and experiment, and test out new designs and one of a kind pieces. . . So there will be lots (and lots!) to see. ✨✨✨

The trio of designs now available with the new square tubes. Not officially listed yet, but if you are feeling impatient you can order the Cove, Small Point, or Balance Earrings as is and just mention you'd like square tubes instead in the notes at check out. *the tubes are only available in gold fill so far, not silver.* I'll get these guys properly listed right after the #leagueofnhcraftsmen Fair in a few weeks!

Good morning! I'm deep into my second cup of coffee, both kiddos are out the door for the day, and I'm making my work day to do list. And maybe just doing a little Insta-procrastinating. Maybe. A little. I do love scrolling through my feed in the mornings and waking up to all of the beautiful things you've been making and capturing while I was sleeping. . . This pic: New asymmetrical necklace as yet unnamed in sterling silver and 14k gold fill.

I love a happy accident! By mistake I apparently ordered these little curved square tubes instead of the usual round ones for my Cove and Small Point Necklaces, and Balance Earrings. I had no idea these little square ones even existed, but I love them! The new styles will first be available at the League of NH Craftsmen Fain in Sunapee, NH in a couple of weeks, and then online after that.

Ok, so here's the thing. I make more necklaces than anything else, but you'd never know it from my Instagram feed. That's because rings, bracelets and earrings are so much easier to photograph! For me at least. But could you please try to extrapolate from this picture how pretty this necklace is? It's a double strand Amelia Necklace in mixed metal with little sparkly hammered ovals that go all the way around. One strand is 18 inches and the other is 24 inches. K thanks! And I'll keep working on my necklace photography skills. π

We ended the weekend with a sunset walk through the fields with the boys and this is our collection of specimens. It's easy to overlook the individual green things in a sea of green peppered with the riotous color of high summer flowers. But if you look closely some of these plants are really quite unique and beautiful. I'm sure there is a metaphor for life in there somewhere. . . #livethelittlethings #optoutside #foundforaged #vermonting

More summer texture: Carrot thinnings, basketweave, and blue linen. The ring is my old trusty Ovum Ring in 14k gold fill and sterling silver. People often ask me how gold fill pieces hold up, and this ring is always my example. I've been wearing this ring for 4 straight years, in the shower and into bed, in the garden and in the ocean. If you look closely it has some scratches and wear and tear. But it has never changed color, and my finger has never turned green. But if you all ever have any questions about things like this I hope you will feel free to ask me!

High summer = high color. π·πΉπΊ (And high temperatures!) I must say I'm pretty happy about the thunderstorm rolling through right now. . P.s. Does anyone out there know what these red flowers are called? They are super sculptural and dramatic. I'd love to plant more.

My head is so stuck in work mode right now it's hard to believe it's the weekend. Times like this I am glad to have a little kids that force be to take a break. Otherwise I know I would spend 95% of the summer in my studio, and I'd hate myself for it. What do you all do to unplug? Is it a challenge, or a welcome respite. Or maybe both. (I feel like it is both) Rither way, I hope you all get what you want out of your weekend! . this pic: Close up shot of new necklaces, one long, one short, both with 14k fused pin details.

And now for something totally different. . . I can't seem to stop making fun colorful things with cord! π Must be the summery breezes blowing in the studio window. . . What do you guys think? They are a little outside my usual comfort zone, but I'm kind of obsessed with them at the moment. Too bad I'm out of those big silver tubes!

My honey got himself some tools, so now he can help me make some jewelry display that I have been wanting. And my little Emmett and I went out in the woods to find some good trees and marked them with tape. It's a family affair around here at Rebecca Haas Jewelry these days. ❤️

Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by the Rock River Artists Tour this weekend! I took a much needed slower paced day yesterday to get my life administration back in order, and spend a little time with my boys. So nice to have a quick break from scrambling from one tad to another! And now I am back in the studio and the countdown to Sunapee has truly begun. Setup starts in 16 days! . . This pic- the new Swale Earrings, which now need to be remade because I sold them this weekend :) A good problem to have. #makersgonnamake

Beautiful moonrise tonight over the neighbors' house from our patio. (My parents are our neighbors. We are squatters (hopefully welcome ones!) in their barn, which we have fixed up into a live/work space.) That is the house I grew up in. Sometimes it feels weird that things have come so full circle for me, but mostly it just feels perfect. ❤️

These poor little things seem to be dying in droves outside my door. Hopefully from natural causes. So goes the weekend I guess. This time I found the underwings as well for the Virgin Tiger Moth. (thanks @smallwildshop for the identification!) Best of luck out there for the weekend/work week transition. I hope your #mondaze are all smooth and painless!!

Summer textures on the kitchen table that caught my eye. This hat is my essential summer wardrobe staple, saving me from the sun and the bugs in equal measure. And if one of the kids happens to step on it it bounces right back. Do you all have a summer accessory that you can't live without? ☀️

This weekend I will be a guest in the @robcartelli studio for the second consecutive year, hanging out with Rob, Quinn and their boys and selling minimalist and modern jewelry and pots! You can check out the link in my profile to see more about the event as well as a map to help you plan your tour. It is a gorgeously Vermonty area filled with amazing makers to talk to and artist studios to explore. If you are in Southern New England and looking for a pretty and inspiring way to spend the weekend I hope you will come by! π #darlingweekend #supporthandmade #vermonting #yesofcourseweareveryinspiring

When we lived in Brooklyn my studio was on the top floor of a brick warehouse and had a skylight but no windows. I used to work with a wet scarf around my neck to help keep cool, and I had a thermometer on the wall that I would keep an eye on. When it reached 92 degrees I'd give myself another half hour to finish what I was working on and then call it quits. While I have great fondness for those days, while I look at today's to do list I am feeling very grateful for my civilized and air conditioned Vermont studio!! ☀️πͺπ¨ this pic, Emily Bands in sterling silver.

The rectangle for this Talus Bracelet came out a little wide to go out in an order, since it doesn't quite look like the photos in the listing. Sometimes this happens, my memory of a design turns out to be, well, wrong. So I decided to make it into a one of a kind double wrap version. I think I like it. . . #happyaccident #makersgonnamake

I found this beautiful moth (butterfly?) wing on my front walk this afternoon. When I first saw it I thought someone had dropped a piece of jewelry on my doorstep (which does actually happen here from time to time). Does anyone have any idea what creature this came from? What an amazing thing to find. . .

The new Dotted Ovale Ring, just listed online both retail and wholesale. I love the texture and sparkle this ring has. It's kind of a fun cross between modern and formal, minimalist and ornate. And the addition of the (optional) 14k gold fill band adds another unexpected twist to the design. I'm excited to bring a few of these to Sunapee this year to see what people think, but I guess you all actually get to see it first!

Nothing gets me moving like a customer request! The new Half Moon Necklace is now listed online in all the usual places! Thanks for your comments on the previous post π Half Moon Necklace shown here with the Collette Necklace in 14k and the Drape Necklace in sterling and 14k gold fill. I just love open necklines and summer layering ❤️ ❤️

It's a rainy morning here in Vermont, which means lots of wrangling of rambunctious boys indoors. I hope at least some of you are having lazy Saturday mornings in bed with cups of coffee and a book, so I can live vicariously through you! And for the rest of you like me who aren't, there's always tomorrow. . .

Ooo I made so many fun new pieces today in the studio! This is really my favorite part of building up inventory for summer and fall shows. These shows are great opportunities to put new designs in front of a lot of new eyes, so I get to play play play with making new things! This ring is one of the pieces I made today. I'm hoping to get it listed this weekend.

A Wren Bracelet, on a pretty cool rock that Emmett picked up at the beach a couple weeks ago at the beach. This piece shipped out today to be worn by a bride on her wedding day. ❤️ It is one of the great perks of being a jeweler that you sometimes get to be a small part of someone's wedding. Usually it's rings, but I'll take it!!
