I just this moment stumbled across something so amazing I had to share it with you all immediately. This is a hand cut rose petal by @hillary.waters, and her feed is filled with works of art as intricate and time consuming as they are fleeting and ethereal. Leaves with cut out sections and woven thread, petals bruised to make geometric patterns, I can't even begin to describe it properly. Mind completely blown. Go check it out. #artistcrush #inspiremyinstagram This is her photo, btw. #regram #ohwowyes

I hope you all had a nice weekend. I am away from my boys this weekend and missing them a lot. But I am right where I need to be right now though, doing what I can to help my parents get through a tough time. Some days are harder than others, right? I can't lie, I prefer the easier ones. • • • This pic: Daisy Petal Earrings in sterling silver.

One of the most frequent questions I get about my jewelry is what "gold fill" really is, and how it is different from gold plate or gold vermeil. So in case you have also been wondering about this, here is the scoop: Gold-filled jewelry is composed of a solid layer of gold over another metal (usually brass) which must constitute at least 5% of the item's total weight. (14k, as a comparison, is 58% gold) Gold-filled items are 5 to 10 times thicker than regular gold plating, and 15 to 25 times thicker than electro plated items. Vermeil pieces are primarily silver, with an electroplated layer of gold on the top. I find that it is the next best option (longest lasting and highest quantity of gold) to solid gold, with a fraction of the price tag. So that's why I choose to work with it. ✨✨🔨🔨 #themoreyouknow

Feeling all the end of summer feels tonight. Visiting family is heading out tomorrow, school starts a week from today, and it all seems to be ending so fast. . . • • This pic: Stream Necklace in sterling silver, Satellite Stacking Rings in 14k and sterling, Orbit Band in sterling, and Ovum Ring in gold fill and sterling mix.

Just finished a delicious Sunday dinner at @homestylehostel with our whole three generation family circus. So glad to have such a great place in our neck of the boonies. And so glad for my wonderful family. Circus and all. ❤️ #vermonting • • This pic: Collette Necklace in 14k, Double Wrap Rink in 14k, Beta Lyrae Ring in sterling and 14k mix, and an Orbit Band in sterling silver. Sweater from @needsupply

Did you all have a nice start to your week? I took the day off to recharge after the end of my big show, and it was glorious. I even napped. (i never nap) I often forget how important it is to take the occasional day to truly do nothing except the personal! Don't you? #thecurseoftheselfemployed And now back into the studio tomorrow to get organized again for real life. . . So many emails to return and orders to get rolling!

Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who came to the fair this week. It was an amazing week. And not just a little bit exhausting. I am looking forward to sinking into my bed in a few minutes, and whole day tomorrow catching up with my boys. Already looking forward to seeing you all again next year! #lovetheleaguenh

It's always so fun to have all of these mixed 14k and sterling silver stacking rings all made up at once. So many stacking options! And if you have been contemplating a trip to the fair, this is your moment. The last day of the League of NH Craftsmen Summer Fair is underway! #seeyousoon #lovetheleaguenh • • This pic: mixed 14k and sterling silver stacking rings.

Is it just me, or is anyone else starting to get the teensiest bit excited about fall's colors and crisp air? Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to rush out summer. And maybe it's because I've been outside for most of this recent heat wave. . . #morningslikethese #saturdayfeels

Today's bracelet situation is making me feel pretty rock and roll. I don't usually pile on this much jewelry. Actually I usually wear just a couple of pretty delicate pieces, and the same ones all the time. But shows are a fun time to try out some more aggressive layering. 😎 #jotd #lovetheleaguenh

I left my trusty assistant Shannon in charge of the booth this afternoon so that I could spend some time in the studio. So for all of you folks planning to come to the second half of the fair, there will be fresh work out tomorrow! #4daysdown5togo #lovetheleaguenh

All set up for Sunapee. Wish me luck! The day before a show is always filled with anticipation and not just a few worries, even if they are mostly irrational. (What if my booth blows away? Or collapses? Or explodes in a ball of 🔥?) So any good vibes you can spare would be most welcome! Please and thank you.

I met my friend @fcheslow at a two week intensive metalsmithing class @penlandschool of crafts in North Carolina about a decade ago. The lucky girl just went back there again this summer, this time for a book studio class, and she sent me this mail. Isn't it pretty? And if any of you have the chance to go to Penland, GO!

The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen's Annual Summer Fair starts on Saturday! This is by far my biggest show each year, with months and months of prep, 2 days of set up, and 9 full days of shopping. I just got home from the first day of set up, and tomorrow I go back to begin setting out some of the 486 unique pieces of jewelry I have made to bring to this show. ✨ No joke, I counted them. ✔️ So if you have been wanting an opportunity to try on something you have been mulling over online, and you are within striking distance of New Hampshire, this is your big chance. And, there's a ton of things to see (or buy), a place to swim across the street, and a chairlift to ride to the top of the mountain for spectacular views. So come! It's fun! Check out the link in my profile for all the details about the show.

A closer look at the new rings I posted yesterday. Still in love with them, but at a loss for what to name them. Anybody have any suggestions? Please? My brain is fried! They are solid 14k gold in the centers with sterling silver bands, in case that helps provide inspiration!

Good morning! The much needed rain appears to be coming to an end. I woke up at 4am and listened to it absolutely pour and worried about a flood. (In my world 4am is prime time for worrying about irrational things) It seems there truly was no need, because by the light of day there isn't so much as a puddle in the lawn. Even though we clearly needed the rain, I am looking forward to seeing the sun and drying out this damp sticky house. ☀️🌬 • • This pic: The Small Point Necklace made with the new square tubes.
