The Olivia Bracelet is casual chic with a touch of refined polish. It adds a feeling of boho minimalism to any outfit, and it layers beautifully with other bracelets. And the warm gold and caramel leather just feel so right for these chilly fall days. If you are wondering why I'm going on and on about it, it is because it is this week's featured item, so you have about 4 hours left to get one for yourself at 35% off! ((Usually the gold fill is $68, but until noon EST it's $44 😍)Silver available too, follow the link in profile.)) Also I'd love to hear what items you would like to see on sale for next week's feature!

I love the Olivia Bracelet for the way it can add a touch of boho minimalism to any outfit, and for the ease that it layers with other bracelets. It is casual chic with a touch of refined polish. It is this week's featured item, and you still have about 4 hours left to take advantage of a super sale on this item. Original price for the gold fill is $68, but until noon it's $44! Stepped outside into this misty morning to take a quick photo of this Bent Perch Cuff before depositing it into the box of inventory reserved for the Weston Craft Show. Mark your calendars for this great event on Columbus Day Weekend if you are in the New England area! #westoncraftshow #vermont

Hand made clasps just removed from their final polish in the tumbler. Did you know I make by hand every single clasp I use from recycled or ethically sourced metals? Ear wires too. Call me picky, but I never could find commercial clasps I was happy with. And just because something is functional doesn't mean it can't be beautiful too! Visually the closures are just as much a part of the design of each piece as all the rest of its features. So I make 'em. It's a big time commitment, but it's worth it. 💪🔨 #slowdesign #madebyhand

I had a day of little boys jumping into leaf piles and a delicious leisurely al fresco lunch in the autumn sun with best friends and a couple of bottles of wine. Most days in life are just regular days, filled with the usual ups and downs and routines. But some days are different. Some days are worse, of course. But some are better. Like they are somehow stuck in a little bubble, where everything slows down and becomes more vibrant. Today was one of those days, and I'll so take it. 👌🍂🍷☀️ • • This pic: The unisex Hook Wrap Bracelet, which is now listed online in all the usual places!

My new @cerealmag came the other day. 💙 The printing and the photographs in this magazine are so pretty and serene. It's basically a travel magazine, and I almost never really travel these days. But taking a quiet moment to read the long form articles is kind of like a mini vacation in itself. So until we can get out and explore the world a little more again I'll make do by living vicariously and integrating the inspiring images into my daily life. • • This pic: a pair of 14k square post earrings that I'm shipping out today.

My honey has been wanting a bracelet, so I made my first dude's jewelry today. This idea has been percolating for a while, (like, years) but for some reason today was the day. Oxidized silver hook clasp with espresso leather and navy waxed cotton cord. I feel like this could be the beginning of a whole bunch of new things. . . 💙🇺🇸💪🔨

My friend Katherine just launched her new company @brooklynbandanas, go check her out!, She is a super fine art photographer, and she just started printing her gorgeous photographs on bandanas. And who doesn't love a good bandana? I use them all the time, on no-shower-days (😱), as a way to keep winter cold away from little baby necks, and even on the dog. And they come with fun color surging on the edges and lots of fun image choices. Yay @katherineslingluff, congrats!

A pair of super simple tiny hoops in 14k that I made yesterday as a custom order for a customer. Have you ever noticed that sometimes the most simple things can sometimes be the hardest to find? What do you guys think? Is this style something you have been looking for too?

So if you are in New Hampshire or Wyoming you've got jewelry headed your way. I sent off two sizable collections today to the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Galleries in Littleton and North Conway, along with a whole mess of mountain rings and necklaces to Made in Jackson Hole. 🔨💪🇺🇸

Tern Bracelet in sterling silver with dark chocolate leather and violet and lavender cotton cords. I'm still waiting on more great colors for fall and winter. They must be on a slow boat from somewhere far far away. But when they arrive it's going to be a great day. 💜

What I'm currently working on in my studio: Boho Chevron Earrings. These guys are almost entirely made without fire until the very end. Each piece is shaped, hammered, holes are drilled and then they are assembled on these little pieces of silver wire. Then the fire comes in to melt little balls on the end of each piece of wire to keep the v shapes in place and to act like a center hinge to create lots of movement and sparkle. These two pairs are headed to @edgewatergalleryvt and @peartreestore ✨ #rhjstockist

This Bent Perch Cuff shipped out today to be a part of an auction to benefit @dayoneny, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of adolescent domestic violence. This is a subject that I am lucky to have no personal experience of. But due to my good friend @carastoehr and her activity with the organization, as well as to their appearance on This American Life on @npr, I have realized what important work they are doing. If you are looking for a way to make a difference in the life of an at risk young woman, this is a great organization to give to. ❤️

Trying out this new photo staging method on two of my favorite recent new designs. What do you think? Because I think it's important to get a sense of scale for jewelry, necklaces especially, but some days I just don't feel ready to jump in front of the camera. Not least because sometimes I work in my pajamas. No, not really. #butsometimesido 🤓

Good night my friends. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are feeing recharged and ready to face the week ahead. I am looking forward to a quiet Monday morning in the studio. My plan is to finally get work out the door to some very patient galleries in my area who have been waiting and waiting for more work. This pic is a sneak peek at the new Amelia Drape Necklace in 14k gold fill, heading to 1st Chair in Stowe Mountain Resort, in northern Vermont.

What do you all think about the new (retro) suede/ribbon choker trend? Is it just for teens, or worth revisiting? I will say I feel conflicted about being a part of the revival of a trend from my high school/college days. That top necklace is something I just dug out of a box of old designs in my studio that I made around 2001. And it looks surprisingly current and complimentary with the brand new Verity Necklace. I'm on the fence. Thoughts?

Today was a busy shipping day in the studio. Thank you all so much for all the recent orders, both retail and wholesale! And your patience is much appreciated, I am almost caught up, I swear! Here is a favorite shot of one of the orders that went out today, a set of three Petal Stacking Rings in mixed metal.

A few little rough and unpolished 14k gold balls from this morning in the studio. I make these by melting down gold scraps from previous pieces: recycled metal in its most direct form. This is the first step in how I make my Satellite Stacking Rings, Perfect Posts, North Star Rings, and all the other styles with little hammered gold dots. These will then be soldered on to their sterling silver bands, polished, hammered, and then polished again before being sent out to their new forever home. #handmade #ethicaljewelry #recycledgold #processoverproduct

Both my boys went off to school today and I am embarking on the most uninterrupted work day I've had in about a month. So I celebrated by starting my day with a long quiet walk in the fields with the dog. How amazing is this thistle? I even investigated picking a couple and bringing them inside, but without gloves and clippers there was no way. I am really looking forward to settling into a little bit more of a routine around here. Summer is wild and fun and busy, but I am ready for some quiet days making jewelry. #bittersweet #quietthechaos #theartofslowliving
