I'm so excited about this new distressed gold band I'm about to add to my website! I am supposed to be filling orders, but my gold arrived today and I couldn't help myself from making this new beauty! It's going to be called the Emily Ring and it's the one on the bottom, paired here with the 14k Orbit Band and the Beta Lyrae Ring in sterling and 14k. ❤️

The new Puzzle Bracelet. Although I first designed this piece with a drawing I had to physically make it in metal before I was sure it was actually going to be two separate but detachable interlocking pieces. Pretty cool, right? You can find the complete listing through the link in my profile to see how it comes apart. But it's impossible for it to come apart on your wrist, your wrist keeps the pieces together. Sorcery, I know. Metalsmithing sorcery.

Hi All! I have been wanting to introduce myself for a while now, but, well, selfies. . . I'm not a big user of make-up, which also makes selfies harder. But covering up most of my face helped a lot :) And at least today I showered, or you wouldn't even be seeing this much of me. So here are some fun facts about me. Today is my birthday, which seemed like a good occasion to say hi. I'm turning 38, which feels like about 76 in internet years. I have a husband and two boys who are 20mos amd 6, but I rarely post pictures of them here because, although of course I love them dearly, nothing is more boring than other people's family photos. I grew up in a small town in Vermont, and live in that same Vermont town now again, with 12 years in Brooklyn, NYC in between. While I aspire to having one of those beautiful and beautifully curated studios that you see all over Instagram, mine is mostly ugly and always messy. According to the Myers Briggs personality test I am an introvert extravert cusp, which is actually pretty well illustrated by this photo and the fact that I'm posting it on the internet. I am generally very rational and pragmatic, but I get very twitchy and superstitious at craft shows, and if business seems slow I'll change the jewelry I'm wearing to bring better luck. And I love making jewelry. And I especially love making jewelry for other people, knowing that they are going to wear it and enjoy it and the piece will go on to have a life of its own out in the world. I'd love to meet some of you! So if you're in a sharing mood post a pic and a little introduction and tag me and a friend who you think might like to share too! And if not, I totally get it. This is a rare thing for me to be in the mood for!! But either way, thanks for following, and I hope I'll get to know you some day! Xo

I'm pretty excited about the trade I have in the works with @redhousevt! This stack is on its way to her, and I'm so looking forward to getting my beautiful goodies!! Also do your best not to be too wild with envy over my super adorable cactus from @smallwildshop. I know. It's the cutest. She'll make more.
When you have to take off all of your jewelry to mix up the meatloaf with your hands. . . People, it was like 1978 up in here last night at dinner time. We have been trying to do family dinner every night with our kids, and I guess my brain is reverting back to childhood for recipe inspiration. Or someone else's childhood actually. I never remember my mom making meatloaf. I would love any suggestions from any of you out there for recipe suggestions that little kids and parents will both enjoy! Oh, and I need to be able to throw it together quickly, because who has time to cook these days? #meanwhilethemeatloafwasdelicious

My little mini gallery on the 3rd floor of the Weston Playhouse for the weekend. From the window in my crow's nest I can see the people coming in the front door on this chilly rainy day, and at the beautiful woodwork through the window of the next room over. It's cozy in here, and customers have braved the weather, and all in all not a bad way to spend the day.

One of the perks of working every weekend for 3 weekends in a row is being able to sneak out on a Monday afternoon (mostly) guilt free for a little bit of a sunny fall spa day. It only took me 6 months to use my Mother's Day present.
