You guys are the best! I had a better night's sleep last night than I've had in ages. I didn't have a chance to go pick anything up, like melatonin or magnesium, so I tried the things @graydahlia suggested, a super hot soak and clean sheets, and I feel amazing this morning. Good morning everyone. It's cold, dark and rainy here today, and not a great day for photos. But I took a quick snap of this new necklace that I've been wearing for the last 24 hours, and I'd love your opinions. It's the tiny one, with the tiny toggle. Originally I just made it to test the security of the clasp, and make sure it wouldn't fall off. But now I am kind of in love with it on its own. I know it's a little hard to see with my Collette Necklace, it would be better if they were different lengths, maybe the Collette an inch longer. . . But is it too tiny to be anything? Or pretty and subtle? What do you think?

It's the last night of our trip. I am pretty exhausted. Vacations with small kids are not particularly restful. But we've had a great time and spent real quality time together and with family and friends. And I think we are all now looking forward to getting back to our routines. My husband has been building himself a beautiful studio space. He's waiting until it is finished to do a big reveal, so I won't tag him here. But amazingly the new floor went in yesterday, just in time for today's pottery photo shoot with @robcartelli. What a luxury to have such a bright empty space to shoot in! It kind of makes me want to give away most of our belongings/clutter. Why is there always so much stuff?! Well, tomorrow is A new day. Maybe it will be the day I start throwing things away.
It was fun photo shoot day here today! And we got some great shots, even though I had to borrow a friends camera body, due to yesterday being sad broken camera day. I got to spend the day with @robcartelli and @qcart and their little dude Davis taking pictures of four crates of Rob's beautiful pottery. Mostly I took the pictures, but for a couple I got to be on the other side of the camera. Thumbs up for local artist community, and doing things together!

My camera broke today, and I am so sad! I had to swaddle it all in bubble wrap and bundle it off to Canon to be hopefully repaired sometime in the next 10 days. I feel a little lost without it. I use that camera every day, sometimes for way longer than I should for productivity's sake. It will be a very interesting week or so in the studio without it. It's very possible that lots more jewelry than usual will be made. Which could turn out to be a good thing I guess. . . But 😥 sniff! Godspeed little camera friend. I hope you get back to me soon.
Friday mornings I usually spend with my littlest, who is all of a sudden all about making art. He'll try his little hand at anything, and so I find myself doing the same. I've always felt extremely awkward painting. Things never come out the way I want them to. But now I find that when I paint with a two year old it's a lot easier to let go of all of those expectations and just enjoy the color. Ok. Now back to the metal for the afternoon!

How do you all feel about wearing matching jewelry? I never really do, unless I'm getting really fancy, which is almost never these days. Not because I'm anti, I'm just not that together. But I love this little silver oval set I just sent out to a customer. It's very subtle, which I like. Where do you all come down on this?

I threw this Holly Necklace on today to take a quick photo to send to a friend who is looking for a gift for his wife. I have on my typical art girl outfit (if your not sure what I'm talking about you can check back a few posts to the one with the leg warmers) which today includes this lovely grey sweatshirt. Ordinarily I don't take jewelry pictures in my sweats. But looking back at the photo now it makes me think hey, if it looks good with this old hoodie, this necklace will look great with ANYTHING. So it's now posted online, sweatshirt shot and all. #jewelryandloungewearforthewin
A little geometric fun in the studio today as I pack up Little Arrow Necklaces in sterling silver and 14k gold fill for The Clay Pot, in Brooklyn. I'm so looking forward to hand delivering this order, along with myself and my family, to Brooklyn, for an epic city adventure in a couple of weeks. My country mouse kids are going to have their little minds blown by the NYC skyline! 🏙Fingers crossed we don't lose either of them on the subway! 🚇

Items from today's outbox. The littlest was home for the day today due to his daycare being closed for a staff wellness day. So significantly less than usual got accomplished by yours truly. I don't know how anyone with small kids runs a business without full time childcare. Major props to those moms. (Or dads. But usually moms) 👍💪
