Sandy salty stackers. ❤️ The beach is completely and totally my happy place. Even with kids that constantly need snacks placed in sandy hands, or giant holes dug, or who knows what. I spent an inspiring evening last night at the home and studio of @jeremyayerspotter and his wife Georgia in advance of the pop up maker fair they will be hosting in a few weeks in their home town of Waterbury, VT. Great conversations were had about updating the image of Vermont Craft and what that looks like for each of us in this new generation. Ideas were batted around how to add a forward looking and contemporary sense of individuation and design to the backward looking reflections of tradition and artisanship. ⚒I seem to be having a lot of very eye opening "big picture" type conversations these days. . . I've been doing more bird watching this spring than I normally do. Not out on a mountaintop with binoculars or anything mind you. new necklace design with more irregular and asymmetrical shapes? What do you guys think? I'm making all kinds of new designs to test out at the Sunapee Fair held by @leagueofnhcraftsmen in August. For those of you who have never been, whether you are too far away, or you've just never heard of it, it is a monster of a show that runs for 9 straight days with hundreds of artists. It has been held every year for over 80 years in New Hampshire, and families have been participating, both craftsmen and customers, for generations. It's awesome.
