Dear leg warmers,
Where have you been all my life? I'm serious. And this is not a fashion statement, because I live and work at home, and nobody but TH and Emmett see me all day. But we live in a drafty old barn, with nothing below us except either a crawl space or a concrete slab (depending on where you are in the building) and the air around floor is always freezing and moving here and there. But this week my friend Carolyn knitted me some leg warmers, and now the problem is totally solved! And I can wear dresses and leggings again now! My favorite work at home outfit is a nice cozy sweater dress, leggings, and my leg warmers. Maybe it is dorky, I'm not sure, but they sure make me happy. Now I need some that come over the knee.
LOVELOVELOVE! You are a VTfashionista!
ReplyDeleteAt the Moon Dog they have the thigh high wool socks
purchased two pair right at the beginning of the season and I swear
by them...where them every single day with shirts leggings shoes boots dresses you name it. It is a must we too might as well live in a drafty old barn cause we experience the same breeze...
be well your pictures are amazing.
love Domenica
Hurray! I am so glad you like them! I just went to Six Loose Ladies on Thursday night and bought the same yarn in a different colorway and am now making myself a pair. I don't know why no one told us how essential these were to Vermont living before...
ReplyDeleteThey look so warm and cozy! I would love a pair of those!
ReplyDeleteKristen, they are SO warm and cozy! And apparently if you knit they are pretty easy. But if not check out this person: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Saxiib
DeleteI just ordered myself a pair so I have a spare!
Fun! And warm. Rebecca, my sister loves her cuff! Thank you for sending it so promptly and letting her know it was from me. She was really surprised and so happy.
